Piero Alessi
Born in Messina (Italy) in 1994, Piero Alessi first encountered sport at the age of 4 with gymnastics. From the beginning, it was clear he had a strong connection with sports and the discipline that came with it. He stood out with his competitions and performances, that in turn won him many national and international titles. When he was 8 years old, Piero focused on breakdance, where he was considered as a “prodigy b-boy” competing and conquering in all age categories. After that, he played soccer, basketball, volleyball, and weightlifting until the age of 14, when he discovered Ju Jitsu. He put forth all of his focus in this art, becoming a 4° degree black belt and competed as an athlete for the Italian national team for 12 years (2010-2022). Achieving the most important recognitions in his field, and of the most notable, are:
● Ju Jitsu Balck Belt 4° degree
● 4x World Ju Jitsu Champion (1st place Belgium 2011 - 5th place Romania 2013 -
3rd place Poland 2016- 5th place Dubai 2021)
● 3x European Ju Jitsu Champion ( 1st place Austria 2010 - 2nd place Italy 2012 - 1st place Sweden 2014)
● 12x Italian Ju Jitsu Champion (2009 - 2021)
● Italian Break Dance Champion (2006)
● Italian Gymnastic Champion (2005)
In 2021 Piero moved to New York City, became a NASAM certified personal trainer and a Ju Jitsu instructor, and is now working for different gyms around the city and teaching in high schools.
In tandem with his sport career, Piero Alessi is also a professional musician with a Bachelors and Masters degree in jazz drums. His sense and knowledge of rhythm allows him to have an unique approach in sport coaching and personal training, mixing movement and rhythm for a better athletic performance.
